ABOUT ME
I joyously make, analyze, and talk about music, ideally without getting the Internet involved at all. I also build things.

But since you're here, I'll tell you that I enjoyed a rather feral childhood involving guitars, power tools, fireworks, and diversity in the suburbs of Fort Worth, TX. Formal music lessons in flute and percussion started in middle school, along with standard ensembles. I had many wonderful teachers, colleagues, and students. After I finished my doctorate a million years later, I returned to the guitar and started singing. And welding.

Because of my pedagogical, hippie, Franciscan, and therefore impecunious background, I question the necessity of most structures. I took a step away from Academia in 2021.

I now use my extensive, ridiculous knowledge and skills to make my family, friends, and neighbors happy. And maybe some day, to solve crime(s).
